I have 3 white spots inside my mouth on the border of my gums and cheek. Infection?

For the past 5 days I have had pain on the inside of my lower cheek near my left canine. Almost where my gums meet my cheek (but it's on my cheek). When I look in the mirror I see 3 small white-colored cuts/spots surrounded by redness.

It hurts a lot when I eat.

I have tried rinsing with salt water, mouth wash, and some hydrogen peroxide. While I rinse, it causes excruciating pain to the infected area, but only temporary relief after-wards. Sometimes I feel pain when not eating, just on its own.

What is this? How did it happen?

What should I do?

  1. Honey the best answer I can give you is go to the dentist, it maybe nothing, or it could be a nerve exposed.

Forget the peroxide, just continue with salty water, and go to the chemist/drug store to get a numbing agent until you can get to the dentist.

Good Luck, there is nothing worse than pain / aches in the mouth.

  2. I have the same like that on my upper lip. It is caused by my braces and until now I am suffering with it. I already went to my dentist. He prescribed me with this ointment. It heals for 2 days but i still get one of it in another location since my braces touches my gums.

I am going back to my dentist today for another check up.

  3. HERPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

    no, im kiding.

    i'm pretty sure it isn't herpes. @ least i hope.....=o/

  4. I think it's a canker/mouth sore. there are medicines at local drug stores to help treat them. They go away in about 5 days. I get em because I eat to much junk food like chips. I hate it when I brush my teeth, it hurts alot~
