  1. Use a 30" bifold door.  It comes as 2-15" panels.  You can get them in several different styles and species.  Hope this helps.


  2. You might be able to find french doors for a closet the right size. I have 2 french doors in my dining room that look like over-sized shutters. They are center open with the latch at the tops. Bad description: they are like balls that pop into an indent in the door jamb above the doors, kinda like giant old cabinet closers. I think that they make that style closers for certain types of closet doors. I would say thats your best area to look in for extremely narrow doors. My handles are dummy's that simply let me pull/push the doors open. Eliminates the need for a center post system. Let me know if you find anything, sounds like a really neat project.
