I have 30 seconds to do a monologue what should i do?

i attended the Pre - Fusion Casting Conference where scouting agents pick out the best of the large croud

i was accepted to go

now i have to prepare a 30 second monologue/commercial or both

to present to the agents/casting directors next saturday

im just not sure what would be the most appropriate or time efficiant

anything helps, thanks

  1. Acting is about connecting with yourself and your audience so 30 seconds makes it imperative that when you take the stage you have already found your character.

    I recommend a comic monologue as any actor that can do good comedy has the timing and talent to do drama as well so it shows the potential versatility.  Pick a character that is not a stretch, in your age range and that you can feel connected to.

    And above all enjoy.  It is one of what will be many auditions if you are serious about the being in the arts.
