  1. i'm assumig the amp is a kicker, which should be a class d competiton amp cable of handling a 2 ohm load no problem, and yer subs are single voice coil 4 ohms each.

if this is the case i would hook up the first 2 subs in series, resulting in an 8 ohm load. and the other 2 subs in series, which will give you another 8 ohm load.

now the two 8 omh loads hooked up parellel will result in a total 4 ohm load, with the amp powering both subs no problem and a minimal draw on yer electrical system.

  2. I'm not an expert in car audio [yet], but i research a lot of this stuff...

This, http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/lear... is a Crutchfield wiring diagram for four 4-ohm subs (DVC/Dual Voice Coil) and a mono block amp w/ a 2-ohm load...

It looks complex; i'm guessing you have some kind of a 1000W Class-D mono-block amplifier. The page below directs you to the rest of their diagrams if i've guessed wrong at what kind of amp and/or subs you have--u gave no brands/models etc.
