We have an HDMI signal from the following devices:

Cable TV

DVD player

AppleTV

Game console.

I understand that a high-end receiver (800+) could allow this setup but are there other options that are significantly less costly and how do signals degraded with those choices.

  1. You can go that route or buy a $59 HDMI amp for 4 inputs to 1 output to HDMI comes with a wireless remote and durcell batteries at amazon.com. No loss in quailty. There are 5 inputs to 1 also same. Cost a bit more but far cry from spending 800 bucks. The receiver way would work the same, but it would be connected to the one receiver instead. Most of these receivers have video amps to keep the video the same as if it was connected to the HDTV the same way.

  2. if you dont have a hdtv than those cables arnt going to do anygood

  3. I have seen a 4X1 Enhanced 1.3b Certified HDMI Switch with built-in Equalizer and Remote for about $35.00 on-line.

In general, HDMI switches do what you need at a fraction of the cost. There are many on-line sellers and many types of switches.

I recommend that you get something that supports HDMI 1.3 just to give yourself some room for future enhancements to source devices.

  4. Try this http://www.amazon.com/5-port-HDMI-switch...
