Question

i have a fish a dog and 2 hamsterz and my dog always knows how 2 open the door some how and gets 2 my hamsterz cage

and i am afraid he might hurt them b/c whenever he goes by them he barks and one time i watched him go by the cage and my hamsters were sleeping then my hamster ran out of know where inside the cage and my dog almost bit him how can i solve this he keeps opening the dang door !

The best option would be to lock the door, so the dog couldn't get in... Depeding on the dog size would determine if he could jump over a baby fence or not. I would not go with a baby fence. One option I would do is to put the cage like somewhere really high where the dog could not touch, and when you come home you can spend time with your hamster....

umm close your door when your not there, get some type of lock for the cage, or scold your dog whenever it opens the cage door

can u get a lock and put it on your door so he cant get in? or can u get a gate high enough so he cant jump over it and get in?

You can put the cage up higher so the dog can't get to it or put the cage in a different room.

You should put the cage on a shelf or somewhere higher up that way the dog can't reach them. My dog did the same thing and once I put the cage up high he didnt even bother my mouse anymore and he could hang out in his cage in peace. Give it a try.Good luck.

Put a lock on the door, put up a baby/puppy gate.

You can try putting one of those safety locks that they use for babies so they cant open cabinets or doors. You could probably pick it up just about anywhere. Usually its a latch that you have to lift or press to unactivate the safety lock to open the door.

You can also try those doggie fences, keep your dog from going to the part of the house where the room your hamsters is kept in is.
