I have $6,000 to spend on a car & it has to have under 100,000mi. What would you buy?

you should buy a dodge or a chevy im sure you can find a good deal at  carmax go there and c wut they have... but dont get a kia,hundia or a chrysler

If you can afford to make payments, put down $3000 on a gas saving small used vehicle. Put the other $3000 dollars in your bank and just make payments. If thats not possible. I look for a, again, small/midsize car. With $6000 you should at least be able to find a vehicle in the 02'-04' range....

I would get a Honda, Nissan or Chevy Impala. You can get one of those for way less than $6,000 at a car auction. I got a car from one with under 100,000 miles on it for around $2,800

With that budget, I will look for cars with about 60 K to 70 K miles. About 4-5 year old. Definitely 2000 or later make.

My Choices are

Hyundai Accent

Chevy Cavalier

Pontiac Trans Am

Honda Civic

Toyota Echo / Tercel

any of the cars from Japan. Honda ,Nissan,Toyota all great cars,even if their close to 100K miles. Check maintence records.

I would buy a vehicle from an elderly individual who just uses his/her car for shopping & doctor's appts.  They are classified as one owner, low milage.
