I will have just spent 7 days in Provence, and am now trying to plan the second half of my trip. Where should I go and travel from Nice, to the best places in Italy and back? Should I go via train everywhere or take the train southbound and fly back to Nice on my way back or visa versa?

  1. if at all possible take the train everywhere, you will thoroughly enjoy the views and countryside...also dont pass up the Crazy Horse Saloon in Nice..its a great nightspot

  2. go to cinque terre..which is very close to the french border (this is in liguria) then i would suggest to visit florence, stay there at least 2 days, then milan (but it is good only for the shopping..not much sightseeing), rome is 5 hrs south, but if you prefer staying in the north, i would also go to lucca and san geminiano and siena

that would be enough for 6 days

    BUON VIAGGIO!

  3. I'm planning on taking the train system which goes from Rome to Milan to Florence to Venice - (all those places have incredible antiquity and special perks). i don't believe you need to book tickets in advance, and the bullet trains are faster (cir. 30 mins) but more expensive.
