  1. The best way to keep your birds warm in winter is to get an Electric Tubular Green house heater,Argos or B &Q Homebase.

I believe stock them or try  a garden centre, you may need a thermostat if they do not have one fitted, the temp.should be set at 15-20 c. depending where you live,(I live in the North east U.K.) If you can insulate your shed this will keep the heat in.

But beware of rodents they like to come in where there is a heat source ,so always keep traps or poison ready, outside the shed and Aviary.

  2. Hi,

You don't need to keep them warm, you only need to heat an aviary for your own comfort the birds don't need it to be hot.

Anyway lovebirds are hardy birds anyway so it won't effect them.

  3. Hello.

I have doves and pigeons outsides in the back yard in my 3 aviaries  ( not lovebirds out there though, my lovebirds and the rest live in the insulated garage with heater and lights  ) In the Winter , I  frame the whole aviaries with all plastic  cover to stop the cold air , I don't need the heaters , however , I need to check the water from time to time in case it freeze , so I can change for my doves to drink it . With lovebirds are so small , I am not sure if they are ok in the cold area like my place ( we have snow , I live in East coast of USA ) . TM.
