The cure is to watch what you eat and see what irritates you and then cut ot out or have it in Moderation! Diet is the answer...you can also get stuff from the doctor for it but controlling your diet is most prob the best way.  Keep a food diary and that will help you also.

Your body goes through so many changes and I know that if you had IBS before pregnancy, the pregnancy either makes it worse or it kind of goes away during the pregnancy.  

IBS can be so horrible but if you do keep a food diary it really helps you understand whats not going to agree with you and what is :)

the baby must have irritated the bowel on the way out. it's very unusual to have a bowel delivery, but it does happen. hang in there, your bowel will heal, it went thru a lot of trauma during labor and pushing when you squeezed it out.

i suffered from IBS for a long time. The reason i had it was hormonal at first, but then once the hormones were sorted out, i still had it, and no one could tell me why.

i tried every thing you can buy to get rid of it and this is what finally cured me:

i went on a fresh food ONLY diet for 3 days. Then slowly added different food. So after 3 days of only salad vegetable and fruit, i added a little bit of chicken. After having chicken and fresh foods for 3 days, with no IBS, i added some lean meat.

i kept going with that until i realised that bread and deep fried foods were what was causing my discomfort.

So now i eat a mainly fresh food diet with no bread and no deep fried foods and i am IBS free.

Try increasing your fresh food in  your diet to see if it makes any difference? it's a healthy thing to try so even if it doesn't help you, i won't hurt you and doesn't cost anything. it's worth a try right?
