It is 7 yrs. old and has been used 7 times. I would like to change the oil, but cannot find the drain plug. Logically, it would be under the oil crankcase, but it is not. HELP !! The oil is getting dirty, and I don't want to take it to a lube shop. The Owner's manual does not show a drain plug, only the filler cap. Anybody in the same boat?

  1. It is quite possible that there isn't a drain plug. In which case you would need to tip it on its side to drain it out of the filler tube. Many lawn mowers are the same way.

  2. Mine's about the same age - model C950-52021 - 0.

The drain plug is below the throttle lever and the pull cord / recoil assembly.  It's between them - and about 2" below.  It's a 6 sided - one inch long bolt that screws into the engine.

You'll have to tilt the blower back on the handles to drain the oil.

Recommended oil is 5W30 for temps down to 0 F.  Below that, sythetic 0W30 is recommended.
