  1. 1) Colosseum

    2) Forum Romanum

    3) Vatican City

    4) Pantheon

    5) Trevi Fountain

That are the main tourist attractions. You should not enter the Colosseum, because it's very busy usually! But I don't know the business this season. Don't forget to hunt for souvenirs!

    Have fun.

  2. 9 hours is definitely limited time but I'd have to suggest this itinerary:

In this order (apprx time you'll spend)

    1. Piazza San Pietro (1-2 hours): It's the entrance to the Vatican City, which in itself is a whole day trip but even if you won't be going inside the principality, the entrance is DEFINITELY worth seeing, it's breathtaking with the backdrop of St Peter's Basilica.

    2. Colosseum (2-3 hrs depending on the entrance line)

    3. Trevi fountain (30-40 mins)

    4. Pantheon (1-2 hrs)

    5. Piazza Navona (1-2 hr)

**Don't leave Italy without trying the wonderful Gelato!

**Watch out for the traffic when you cross the streets! The cars

don't stop for pedestrians, you're sort of left to tackle them.

  3. Go get somthing to eat

  4. The Colosseum and Forum Romanum. That should take you 3-4 hours. Then have a nice espresso and a glass of wine - or something to eat as well - at a street cafe for an hour or two. Just sit and watch the people walk by.

  5. You can go vist some museams. I hope you enjoy Rome because its so nice & pretty.

  6. I would suggest you contact Tourcrafters (www.tourcrafters.com)

and arrange for a car and driver to pick you up at the airport, provide you with a tour of the important sites in Rome, and then drop you off at Civitivecchia (the port of Rome) in time to board your ship. There a many companies that do this, but as a travel agent, I've found Tourcrafters is the most reasonable and provides excellent tours and services.

    Keep the following in mind:

    - Figure at least 1.5 hours to pick up your luggage, clear customs in Rome and get to your transportation.

    - Figure about 1.5 hours to get from Rome to the port

    - Cruise line will want you on board the ship about 2 hours prior to sailing.

So this would give you only about 2 - 2.5 hours to see the sites in Rome if you do it with a car service.  If you have others traveling with you, you could split the cost of the transportation/tour among you and it should be affordable.

Otherwise, you are locked into whatever transportation you can find, or the cruise line provides, to get you from the airport to the port and there will be no seeing Rome this way.

    Good luck!

  7. if you have no experience traveling there or have no one to show your around i wouldn't risk missing your ship...

  8. 9 hours?

I suggest you to stay in the central zone, and visit Piazza Navona, Pantheon, S. Ignazio, Fontana di Trevi and Piazza di Spagna.

Or, if you prefer the ancient Rome, you can go on Piazza Campidoglio, see the Roman Forum, Constantin Arch and Colosseo.

    enjoy :)
