  1. You give no specifics, so my assumption is going to be that none of these cards are professionally graded, making them worth less to begin with.  Raw cards will not sell for graded prices.

Your collection comes out to be about eleven cents per card, making the vast majority commons and lower value star cards.

For example:  Someone might pay $12 for an ungraded 1982 Cal Ripken rookie that they say is near mint (it may not be).  But a 1988 Topps Ripken All-Star card might get you ten cents, if you can find someone who'll pay that.

The cheap stuff pulls down the average value. For bulk commons, a dealer might pay you a penny for every five or more.  Working from eleven cents a card, that really pulls down the dollar value of your grouping.

Unless you have a hundred or more rookie cards or other valuable star cards like insert cards, that are professionally graded, and you can verify eBay sale prices of $25 on average, in my opinion you are getting a great deal in your favor if you can unload all of that for $3000.

NEVER forget, while considering a sale, that your time is worth something.  How much time will you spend breaking up 90K cards to get a few hundred more dollars?  It's rarely worth it.

  2. Thing is, they're only worth 10 thousand if you can find someone willing to pay 10 thousand for them.

If you just put them up for sale, hold out or try to get your buyer to come up on his offer. Otherwise, if you've had them for sale for a while, I'd accept that offer.

  3. No,that is less than half of their value. Hold out for a higher

price unless you're really desperate for money.
