  1. You can try and if you have proof from the doctor they have to help you.  The school counselor should know what to do, that is part of what they are trained to do.

  2. They may allow you to take your tests in a different place and allow you extra time, but they wont likely change your classes at all. You may be able to be in a room for people with learning disabilities for the subjects you struggle in but do you really want to be?

Anyhow, you can definitely get arrangements to aid you under the americans with disabilities act. They (the schools) are required to provide reasonable adaptations to help you out.

I am in college and I am still able to let the teachers know about my ADHD and the resource center sets up tests in quiet rooms for me and everything!

The school will have to have documentation of your diagnosis from your Dr. then they will be able to set you up with ways to help you succeed.

  3. I have ADHD and because of the Disabilities Act schools must do what they can to help your disability and since ADHD is a learning disability, that falls into that category.

If smaller classes are offered then they can certainly put you in one. You can also have your tests be done un-timed, or have them read to you, etc. Schools should be able to do whatever they can to accommodate your illness.
