I still have "AOL Coach Trainer" in my registry and I want to know if it's safe to just delete directly from the registry since it doesn't show up in the Control Panel's "Add or Remove Programs" section.

  1.   If you are going to manually edit your registry, make sure that you do two things. Make a System Restore point just before you start and then whichever registry sub-key you are going to work on, export it. That will put it in a file on your dsktop and if you mess up you can just click on that file and it will restore it the way it was.  Somepeople export ther whole Sub-Tree but thhis is not advisable as it tends to cause problems and Microsoft says that you should only export the Sub-Key and that will take everything under it.
