  1. Are you a Mexican National ?

If your American or Canadian you are not going to work here .

"I am moving there " implies you are living in another country. If you have no status here then you simply can NOT work here.

Brenda Martin is still in jail here for her alleged role in 60 million dollar scams.

If this answer does not work for you its because your question is ambiguas

  2. On insidepv.com, go to the spa section and find Day Spa- Felipe Reyes is the owner and I believe he just opened a second location and is hiring.  He also knows EVERYONE in Puerto Vallarta and if he doesn't know the answer, he'll know who to ask!

I live in Puerto Vallarta and I know they don't require licenses for real estate agents here so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't require licenses for cosm in Mexico as well.

    Good luck!

  3. Previous answerer is correct...you CANNOT work in Mexico without a wwork permit and the only way to get a work permit is to find an employer.  He must write a letter to immigration stating that he is hiring you for a job he cannot find a Mexican citizen for, then your permit is tied to that specific job.  Cosmeticians DO need a license to work in Mexico...and there is NO shortage of them.  It is nearly impossible for an American to work in Mexico unless they are highly educated and have a skill that is badly needed...usual very high-tech.  There is no such thing as a work visa for lower skilled jobs.  This similar to the work restrictions ALL countries have...including the U.S.  This may sound discouraging...but it is the reality you would face.
