I have Adobe Acrobat Reader 8. I have a form to complete. How do I do it?

I want to complete form online & print, so it will look neater.

  1. I don't think you can edit (write) documents in Adobe Reader (hence why it's called "reader")

    You'll have to print it and fill it out with pen in that case.


  2. As long as the originator of the PDF form in question has created a form that can be filled out directly from the computer, then all you need is the Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the form so that you can see it to complete it.

    So just open the form in question, click into the boxes to see if it allows it to be filled in, then print. If the boxes do not allow you to fill in online then all you would be able to do is print and fill in by hand.

I assume the form is in .pdf and you can't fill it in online, so you want to download it and fill it in on your computer.  You need PDFill from http://www.pdfill.com/.  It's a shareware program, but you can try it out for free to see if it meets your needs (you can't use the results - it will have a watermark on it).  It's only $20, and well worth the money.  I have used it personally.  (If you get it, and have problems learning how to use it, email me.)  There are apparently no fully-functional freeware form fillers for pdf files.
