  1. if you are not listed as a rated driver the insurance does not include you and the accident will not be covered, ESPECIALLY if you are listed as excluded

  2. Ya know, there isn't enough information here.  Are you a household member?  Did your dad lie on the application, when he was supposed to list household members?  Which state do you live in?  Are you an excluded operator?

The only person who can give you a definitive answer, is the Allstate agent - he's the guy that knows the answers to these questions.

  3. In most cases the insurance claim would be paid by Allstate however it's quite likely that IF your Dad never listed you as a "rated driver" on his cars, that Allstate may very well drop your Dad's coverage and ask him to go to another company because he didn't disclose you as a driver, and they can't count on him to give them the correct information.

  4. If you are not listed as a driver they will deny the claim.

  5. It will cover the accident if you are driving Dad's car... but then you'll be added to the policy unless you can prove you have your own insurance & don't live in your Dads house.

Is there a reason that Dad doesn't have you on the policy?

Or do you have your own policy?

If not, go ahead & get added. It'll make the claims process go alot smoother if something does happen in the future

***EDIT****As the owner of the vehicle...your Dad has the right to LOAN his vehicle to ANYone he wants. to! Some of these other agents on here have assumed you're an uninsured driver
