There are these huge trees behind my house that I guess grew since I had my direct tv installed These trees are on a parking lot behind my house and blocking my signal.....direct tv says they can't come out to move the satelite dish, that I need to call someone to trim the trees. This really sucks because the trees are not on my property and its not my responsibility to trim them. I've been with out TV for 2 days!!! Can they do this? What should I do??? I would hate to cancel and have to get cable.

  1. You have no right to get your neighbor to trim his trees, though you could ask. Could the dish be moved farther up the roof, to get a clear view? You could pay someone (other than DirectTV) to do that.

Otherwise, you are out of luck.

  2. i answered a Q. like this not long ago. i would go with cable because of all the unhappy home owners Ive talked to. when i roof their homes, I'm told to go ahead and scrap the direct tv dish because they went back to cable.
