I have Directv DVR. When I record shows, it seems to only allow me 5 episodes of any given show.....?

before it deletes old episodes. I had 5 episodes of Lost recorded, none of which I have watched yet. The oldest episode is gone off my playlist, I guess because a 6th episode was set to record. It seems it gets rid of the oldest episode in order to keep just 5 episodes on my list. What gives? Is there a way to change this so that I can have as many unwatched episodes of any given show as I want?

I had the same problem but I just figured it out. When you select record series, recording options will show up to the right. Change the setting keep at most from 5 episodes to all.

When you set the program to record, look for "options". My DVR has this choice and it lets me change it from 5 episodes to "keep all episodes".
