  1. I just switched from Dish to Uverse today and I can't wait! My brother has Uverse and loves it.  No weather interference, so many more channels, your favorite programs in more time zones, and he said the quality is awsome! I'm fed up with Dish and their lousy HD boxes. W have had 3 so far and this box is broken too!  I'm looking forward to enjoying watching TV again, and not spending the evening on the phone to tech support. I bundled my phone, internet connection and got their everything package and will be saving about $35.00 a month, as well as many more channel choices. There is no contract, the first month you receive a $100.00 credit on your bill and they install everything for free. I think it's a no brainer for us! Like I said-I can;t wait for Wednesday, that's when they install everything. My brother has had it about 8 months and loves everything about it. He was formerly a Dish Network customer too. Hope this helps!

  2. I just got dish and love it!

They wanted to charge me $45. to sink a metla post!

I refused, they did it for free!!

    imaine that!

  3. AT&T UVerse is easy to use has many advantages over Dish:

    - Very clear SD Picture

    - Free DVR

    - Record/watch 4 programs at the same time

    - No problems when it rains

    - It is often a little cheaper (but watch for discounts from both sides!)

    - Free Wireless (WiFi) internet gateway (when you buy internet with UVerse)

    - Look at your Flikr photos on your TV

It does, however have a few issues.

    - Right now you can only watch or record 1HD channel at a time.  AT&T says they are working on fixing this.

    - Right now you can only have one DVR.  AT&T says they are working on Whole Home DVR, which will allow you to watch all your recordings from any set top box in your house.  Which will be very nice once they get it going.

In general, unless the above limitations bother you, I would recommend going for UVerse.  I have it and I like it a lot.  (Record 4 programs at once did it for me.)  If one of the above items is a deal killer, you may want to wait or look around for another service.

    Good Luck
