Question:

I have Ebay Woes?

I just tried to bid on something listed on Ebay and the seller cancelled my bid b/c I didn't purchase more than 10 items. Is that normal? Is it fair? Is there anything I can do? I really wanted the item.

  1. well comming from me a e bay junkie, yes they have the right who 2 and who not to sell to because of a lot of people bid and dont pay, when u get 10 positive feed backs you get a yellow star, yes it very normal,

  2. Many sellers have policies like that.  For example, I block bidders from outside of the U.S. because I don't do international shipping.  That seller probably doesn't want newbies bidding because they are usually inexperienced as to how eBay works.

As an eBay seller and from my own experience, I have had to file disputes against 5 people.  4 of the 5 had less than 10 for their feedback, suggesting that they didn't quite understand the process.

Many sellers like to avoid this and, therefore, they require biddders to have a feedback score of 10.

If you really want it, try contacting the buyer.  Let them know you are VERY interested and guarantee them that you are not the typical non-paying bidder.  Guarantee that you will pay ASAP, and they may let you bid again.  All the sellers want is quick payment.  If you promise them that you will pay right away, they may let it slide.

    GOOD LUCK!

  3. If each item is listed individually you can bid. If it is sold as a group f things, you need to buy it all at once.
