I have FireFox 3 and Download Helper.....?

When I first installed Download Helper, there was an icon for it so I could just click and get a list of things to download. Now the icon has vanished. Is there a way to add a new icon to FireFox as the proper one is not in the list. Thanks in advance!

  1. "dap" is probably the best and best known download accelerater.

it downloads and then checks for viruses before giving you the run option.

it downloads to its own folder so you can keep the origional copy if you like.

    hope this helps.

  2. Firefox keep changing things, i've stopped getting used to all the add ons that i have, being the same when i come on the next day.

the people who make the add ons, keep changing them to improve them, but you cant really revert back to the old things sadly.

  3. Maybe the icon box is unticked, click tools > addons > extensions and options in Downloadhelper and check Icon Animation is ticked. Otherwise uninstall and reinstall, I've had it ages with no problem but you get the odd glitch with anything.

  4. Firefox 3 may need a new version of Download Helper.  Check the Firefox website for it, or do a web search for it.

    Hope that helps.

  6. In firefox use view->Toolbars->customize.. and from there if your download helper was removed it should be back in this pool of unused icons, ready to be placed back on another toolbar. Currently using firefox 2 but I'll download FF3 later and if it's different I'll reply again, but that would fix the problem in FF2.
