I love my frecks, but unfortunetly putting on coverup and foundation kind of hides them, but looks cakey. I only really want to cover up the dark circles around my eyes,a little bit of redness on my nose, and zits! Can anyone recommend a good product/brand that will subltey cover my skin, but not look super cakey?!

  1. yeah hold on a sec!! :)

Okay so it sounds like you have a pretty good to normal complexion. So you don't really need a foundation. Try a tinted moisturizer to start off with that has sheer coverage and will just even out your skin tone but you will still be able to see your goregous freckles I recommend these and I've tried all of them and they're all fantastic! They don't look cakey and they give you a natural glow ;)

they are all great quality and the tubes last quite a long time.

next get a concealer to cover you blemishes and bags I recommend these.

all mac concealer are fantastic but this one stays one great and it lasted me almost a full year!

these are great for blemishes and bags make sure you get a concealer that is slightly lighter than your natural skintone :)

also it isn't need but try getting an illuminator for under your eyes the tinted moisturizers that I picked out already have some.

for your bags me and my mom both use this she is an ER and critical care nurse so she basically gets no sleep what so ever and I rarely do either because of my insomnia but this works great!! and the bottle last forever and is well worth it. It totally gets rid of you bags!

    hope this helps!!

and believe it or not it helps to drink lots of water!! :)

btw do not try clinique, it's not worth the money for how low quality there face makeup is I have tried it a is sperates and get's oily and disgusting and old I had to make a return for purchasing it twice.

  2. Try a tinted moisturizer, like Clinique's(that's my favorite at least). If you want a drugstore brand, try Neutrogena(not my favorite) or CoverGirl(theirs is pretty decent and good for the price you pay). It doesn't give you too much coverage but it still covers your little flaws. Also, another good option is a mineral foundation! My friend has freckles and she loves using bareMinerals to cover her flaws but still show her freckles a bit. Personally, i think it's too pricey so i use L'Oreal's Bare Naturale which works great and is reasonably priced.

Overall, I'd recommend Clinique's tinted moisturizer the most because it makes your skin look pretty and natural but is good for covering discoloration/redness or dark circles, which is what you're looking for.

  3. to cover dark circles

dot a light foundation right under them

not too much, then dot the foundation all around the eye

so it can look natural,if your doing it correctly it should cover your circles and give you a fresh awake look it also works great with zits and you dont need foundation on the rest of you face!! dont hide freckles they are so cute

  4. A tinted moisturizer is good. helps keep the skin supple, and also helps hider any imperfection.

Freckles are beautiful things and you should be very proud of them.

  5. I can't really offer you any advice about makeup, but I do have to agree that covering up freckles is not a good thing to do.  It makes a girl look insecure about her appearance.  Personally I find that Girls with freckles are HOT! The more freckles a girl has the HOTTER she looks! Freckles are the first asset I look for on a girl before asking her out on a date. A girl without freckles is like a night without stars. Freckles ROCK!

  6. Wal-Mart has Pysician's Formula talc free mineral wear loose powder that I use for red spots and everything! It cost under $11 and it lasts FOREVER it seems. I bought mine 6 months ago and use it every day but still have over half a container left. I use an eyeshadow brush to apply it like a concealer under my eyes, on red spots and then use the applicator brush that comes with the powder to apply it all over. The difference is dramatic! It doesnt require anything under like foundation or over unless u'd like a bronzer. It looks so natural and it is amazing!  And cheap! I can't stand the heavy feeling of a foundation+concealer+powder. It leaves my face feeling heavy and caked up. Plus, I live in the south, so it's like 100 degrees here, and my mineral powder STILL lasts atleast 8 hours. I may have to touch it up once on really humid days, but it takes less than 60 seconds.  U can't go wrong with this.
