I have H4 visa.can i do internship after MBBS in USA.Is that possible?family is there.plshelp?

i am indian who has done MBBS in china..now my family has moved to US &i have H4 visa..i have finished my MBBS in june 2008.can i do internship/house surgency in USA?now i dont want to go back to india and do screening exam and all since i miss my family a lot.i want to go to US and do internship there.is it possible? what all exams i have to write for that.?how long it will take.?if in case i will have to come back to india after doing internship in US ,will i hve to do internship again i india?i am sorry for asking many question but i am in such a confused and depressed state.plsss some one plsss help me..i miss my family.sometimes even feel like to quit MBBS and do someother studies that much i miss my family

hi, I am on H4 visa as well.. I don't know much about the medical field but I can tell you that under H4 visa you cant legally work and get paid for your services. But you can study if you want to. If you don't get paid for your internship then you can surely do it.

I would highly recommend that you talk with representatives of the company/university you are going to apply into. They know everything about the visas and what a candidate needs to do. It would be much better if you come to US and then find out what needs to be done, as you can personally talk to the medical counselors.

You can also apply for residency or fellowship and thereafter get H1 visa. You can apply for H1 visa while you are still on H4 in the US.
