I said no, but they told me that it would be good for me. They told me that it might lighten up my fear of spiders.

Do you think that they are right? I'm not sure.... I would do that if it would lighten up my fear, but if it doesn't work, then I wouldn't sleep for about... 2 weeks.

(yes, my fear is that bad. If I see a tarauntula that isn't in a cage, I won't be able to sleep for 2 weeks)

  1. Maybe you should take a chance if you think it might help. You don't have to go right into holding it. Just look at it in its cage, then maybe touch it with your finger if you feel comfortable. Just push your comfort zone a little at a time but not so much that you will have trouble sleeping. And then be proud of yourself because it's not easy to do things that scare you. :)

  2. me too.  don't worry the spider will continue to live if you don't touch it; so will you.  you got in the same room, they should be pleased.  ick.  find out what they're afraid of and insist they do it.  pllllease.

  3. I'm scared of spiders too but this may be a way for you to get over your fear of them. :) Give it a try but don't feel pressured to do something you don't feel comfortable doing even if it's for your friends. They shoudl be understanding.
