My league is very competitive and have a great baseball IQ. They know who's coming off of the DL days before. Right at this very minute I need a 2nd baseman with Maicer Izturis kinda hurt. Would you keep Bruce or use him for a trade for a reliever or pitcher or something else?

  1. Don't trade him for a reliever!  He's of great value right now.  Try to get another star hitter that you know will continue success, unlike Bruce.

  2. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TRADE JAY BRUCE!!!!

He will be of great value to you in years to come, if its a keeper league. It may be a gamble but I would take the risk and keep him on your roster. If its not a keeper league I would still keep him as he is pretty consistant so far this season and there is still 3.5 months of the season left. If it is a keeper league, evaluate him at the end of the season, keep in mind his totals may be a bit lower then others at his position due to the fact that he just got called up. Then make your descision at that time.

  3. It could be tough to trade him in a league with very high IQ managers because it makes no sense to trade him for his actual value, because it is kinda of low. But his proposed value which often way overrated won't be count in this league because of the smart managers. I guess you can try trading him for Placido Polanco or Kelly Johnson if your 2B is hurt, that is kinda of fair.
