I have Microsoft Word 2003, is there a way I can number my pages?

I have a 23 page document and I need the pages to be numbered.

  1. Look on the menus for "headers and footers." The footers part will help you add page numbers.




  2. Click toolbar button VIEW > Header Footer >

    click inside the Header box > tab to the right two times >

    click the icon of sheet of paper with # sign

    called Insert Page number.

  3. Yes it is so simple.. go to insert menu, select page number.. thats all

  4. On the Insert menu, click Page Numbers.

    In the Position box, specify whether to print page numbers in the header at the top of the page or in the footer at the bottom of the page.

    Select any other options you want.  

  5. Try this:

    1. Click the Insert->Page Numbers menu item.

    2. Set the Position and Alignment text boxes to put the page number where you want it.

    3. Click OK.

    To put any other text into the header, double click in the Header on the page and enter the text.  Double click outside the header, or close the Header and Footer pop-up menu to get out.
