  1. To be honest it is going to be a lot of work... First off I don't think a diesel is made in a V-6. And as far as the body goes well the diesel engine has a bigger radiator and some diesels have two batteries to accomidate the larger starter needed for the extra cranking power due to the diesel having more compression. Other changes will include a different instrumnent panel  cause the dash of a diesel powered car is different than a gas job in that the diesel has lihgts on the dash that tell you when to start the engine and also tell you when there is water in the fuel. Some other things that will need to be changed are the gas tank cause diesel s don't actually have a fuel pump per say. They have a transfer pump and it is usually located on the engine. But you'll still need the gas tank and different lines. It can all be done... But I think in the long run you'll save money by buying a car with the diesel engine already installed... This way everything is hooked up and working. Where as if you put the diesel in your car you will need the wiring harness as well. And as things go no doubt something will not fit somewhere cause your car was made for the gas engine and not for the diesel engine. But when it all comes down to it the choice is yours... If it were me I would rather look for one with the diesel installed already. Hope this helps .

  2. It probably CAN be done, but it's a better idea to change the car. Forget about putting in a diesel WITHOUT ANY CHANGES.

Other equipment and/or structures are likely to be involved (brakes, fuel system, suspension, transmission, exhaust, engine supports, electrics). In some cases there's the engine height problem (it takes a "bump" in the bonnet to accomodate a diesel engine).

Ask first for a turnkey price in a workshop - the answer will likely make you change your mind - but if it doesn't, remember that the result of a cheap job may be disappointing and there's no money-back warranty..
