I have Olympus Master 2 and i want to capture stills from video. Is that possible?

I accidentally took video with my new FE-340 and i want to make still photos from the video. It came with the Olumpus Master 2 software. Is it possible and if so, how do i do it?

  1. Stills from video are typically not very clear. This is because of the way digital video captures motion (at 29.97 frames per second).

    The captured video is most likely in MPEG2 format.

    You need to get it to a format that your video editor will understand. The most basic is DV format. You'll have to look for an appropriate converter for Windows - in the Macintosh environment, you need to download an install StreamClip from the Apple.com downloads area. In either case, copy the video to your computer, open with the converter too and export as DV. Then, in Windows MovideMaker or Apple iMovieHD, import that DV clip. You can "Save a Frame".
