I have Permanent Residency question?

Question

Being that my wife is Filipino and posses a Green Card, may she travel to Guam to satisfy the requirement that stipulates she must return to the U.S. within one year to sustain her residency status? Guam is a U.S. territory and one of 116 ports of entry into the United States. I need clarification.

The requirement is a little more involved than that.  You wife must maintain her residency in the US.  A once-a-year trip to the US will not suffice.  Guam does count as US territory for residency purposes.
