I have RCT3 platinum. Question: why can't I put a chain on a steep up slope when building a roller coaster?

When building a custom coaster I can put a chain on a medium up slope but when I switch to a steep up slope the chain goes off. When I click on the chain to toggle it back on the steep piece I'm building turns back to a medium up slope piece.

Most coasters you can not do that you have to play the game longer to get those special coasters in.

Try making the rollercoaster smaller! Most coasters arnt that steep so just try to make it that weenie boit smaller!!

It's because real roller coasters don't have steep lift hills.

There are very few roller coasters with a steep lift.

It happens in every roller coaster tycoon game, not just RCT3.
