Question:

I have Red Bumps from Removing Ticks on My Skin.?

I went hiking over the weekend and when me and my boyfriend got out of the woods, we looked down and each had atleast 30-40 tiny little ticks on our legs. After spending about an hour getting them all off, my legs appeared to be fine. Now 2 days later where i pulled the ticks off I have red, itchy bumps where every tick was latched on to me. I know its not lyme disease cause the ticks were only on us for about 2 hours total and thats not long enough to transmit anything,

Anyone know why I have these bumps and what I can do to take away the itching and burning?

  1. You can't know for sure if anything has been transmitted. Various diseases (not just Lyme) can be carried in tick saliva, and can be transmitted in a short time. Ticks can carry all kinds of nasty stuff, and there can be different skin manifestations, not just the well known "bull's-eye rash."

The fact that you had that many tick bites is cause for concern. I recommend you read the following websites to learn about tick-borne disease, and then both get checked out by a doctor as well. Good luck.
