I'm pretty sure I have plenty of power driving the woofer because when the gain was on 0 for a while, I could smell the voice coil burning. Now I keep the gain at -3. I want to know if I can add the same woofer to this amp, I don't want to upgrade the amp. If I get another, will it be louder (punch harder) even though it is being driven with less power, and won't that result in the amp working too hard? Right now the amp stays warm to the touch.

  1. if u want to add another one, to achieve any good spl out of them and to be able to tell the difference that u have another sub is going to be either getting another one of those amps or getting a bigger amp...those 2 subs r 800 rms combined..alls ur getting at one ohm is 500 rms....u have to double the size of the box, double the amp power,  to get the desired output of those subs.........good luck
