It is having lot of dust ,fingerprints etc. I read instructions in the manual which says to use a soft cloth. If dust is still there wipe gently with soft cloth slightly moistened in mild detergent. I take the cloth that come with my glasses as it is very soft and take a

tiny bit of tap water (no detergent as I think it will damage the coating ) and wipe very gently the dirty portion and uses another soft cloth to dry it. Now the screen is sparkling clean when it is off but the problem is as soon as I switches it on it shows a white cloud /smear /mark (as I dont what is that exactly) at the portion which I have cleaned which is very noticeable when the screen is black. For example while watching discovery channel it is noticeable because the top and bottom portion in that channel is totally black .Is this the backlight problem since I have used water in tiny amounts and just follow the manual? How can I fix this problem? Any cleaning kit? Plzzzzz help TV TECH MAN and others

  1. 1. 70% Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alchohol) $1.49

    2. distilled water

mix 50/50 apply to soft cloth (old cotton T-shirt or handkerchief) and gently apply to screen (as always never apply directly to screen) this is a much cheaper way of cleaning you screen than going and buying the specal cleaning fluid that can cost up to $30 for 6oz

  2. I know that most electronics retailers will carry screen cleaning kits.  I prefer the monster screen cleaning kit.  I find the solution to be the best.  However you can use any kind of kit specifically designed for cleaning flat panel TVs.  Sometimes, the cleaning kits are located near the computer monitors because they can be used for the same purpose.
