  1. One place you might consider going to is El Salvador. If you google el salvador you might read things that you might not want to read but you know it is a safe country. It's a developing nation recovering from a civil was that occured in the early mid 1980's. The place you might want to go there is the Decameron Resort. It is a private beach resort and it's very beautiful. It is not open to the public only to the paying guests staying at the resort. It's all inclusive and i believe it's $50 us a day. I was just there a few months ago. They do enterainment shows and pool side games. They also have a centre there where you can book excursions (extra$$) and they take you to the tourists stops in el salvador. A group of 15 of us went there to end our latin america mission trip. We had a blast. So look into it. Happy travelling.

  2. Argentina.

    Affordable and beautiful.

Don't expect mariachis, tortillas and people dancing salsa on the streets!

People (especially in Buenos Aires and the south) are mostly white, very european. Food is italian and spanish, great pizzas and ice cream And of course, beef!

You can have a whole meal for $12.

Buenos Aires is cosmopolitan, full of activities, great nightlife, and people are friendly and beautiful.

I was there two years ago and I love it!

  3. i would suggest sanjose, costa rica

its the best country for vacation

  4. too hot right now to go to latin america,  ask again next winter..

i always go to Cuba now, because it's a safe place... and the women are very cute

  5. Peru or Patagonia have the weakest currencies and your dollars would go the furthest there. Of course unless you want to go to Honduras which has a lot of mosquito's and poverty that is very shocking! But I doubt you want to go there. I would go with Peru which has more things to see and is friendlier to tourist.

  6. The two poorest (based on GDP) countries in Central America are Honduras and Nicaragua@$3000 each. followed by Guatemala and El Salvador@$4900 each. All four of these countries have a variety of things to see and do and are inexpensive for travelers.

I have been traveling and working throughout Latin America for several years.I  have lived and worked in Guatemala,Honduras,Belize and Nicaragua. I have no idea what kind of travel experience you have or what your interests are so I would suggest you try to visit each of the countries in Central America rather than recommend just one or two.

To answer your question...based on my personal experience, I don't notice much difference in the day to day costs of traveling in Guatemala,Honduras, Nicaragua or El Salvador. The other three are a little more expensive. If you have any specific questions or concerns feel free to email me.Suerte!
