  1. woahh you're totally gonna make it! no coach in their right mind would cut someona as tall as you... but a great way to stand out is to yell. calling the ball loudest, having spirit adn being a very vocal player has gotten me very far in my volleyball career. being loud shows confidence and coaches dig that

  2. you will make it just have confidence on what you do and have fun.. GOOD LUCK

  3. hey im a freshman and im trying out tomorrow too!

here's a website that someone sent me with tryout tips:

  4. drea<3: I love it that you used that link "Ask Coach Houser" Coach Houser is the coach of the JO's 15 Open team in my area. He's awesome!

But on to the question ...

I'm guessing by "center" you mean middle blocker. Your height is an advantage. Give it 1 million percent. Call the ball. Be loud. Work hard.

    Good luck!

  5. Hahaha I'm going to be a senior and were just getting a boys team.  I have been named captain already but my advice from a vball stand point is dont try and do to much show the coach you can play but dont get worried if you do something wrong just relax.  From a sports standpoint and having coached before show the coach u love the game and have fun while ur out there.

  6. You are huge! I'm so envious! lol I'm only 5 7 but I think I may grow a little inch or two.  But just because your tall, it doesn't mean your automatically in.  You have to know your basics.  Also, you need to go in being confident and having a good attitude because if you think that your not going to make it then your not going to work to your potential.  Also, always listen to what the coaches have to say because evidently, they will make the decision to make you or break you.  Also, communicate and socialize with others because everyone has the possibility of being a teammate.  Coaches look if your socializing well with others and if you can play teamwork.  Good Luck and I hope you make it!
