I have a brand new HP laptop with Window's Vista on it

I hate it, but I'm going to keep it

If I buy Microsoft Office 2007 or 2000, can I install this on Vista, or do they have to be the same.

For example, would I have to have Windows 2000 to install Microsoft 2000, or is that not important.

I just want to make sure it is compatible

Thanks!

  1. No, you can mix and match. And if you do experience problems, >> right click the link to MS word, and hit properties and on the compatibility tab, hit run as and choose the operating system before yours.

  2. I'm running Office 2003 on Vista.  Office 2000 should run on Vista with no problem (other than not being able to read Office 2007 files, unless they're saved in the older format).

  3. Why waste money on Microsoft Office? Try Open Office instead.

  4. no they don't have to be the same any microsoft is compatible with microsoft

  5. BUY 2003 edition. its much better then the 2007

and yes you can install it on vista. no worries
