  1. Depends if your computer is compatible with vista. If it is then yes.

  2. Probably not but it depends on the specifications of your machine.

The fact that it was running windows 2000 probably means that you purchased it 4 or more years ago.  Most of the machines made then would not run vista or at least would not run it very well.

    you can look here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

and see if your machine meets the minimum system requirements.

  3. i doubt that a windows 2000 computer would be able to run vista on it, since vista needs a high spec computer to make it work. If you want to get vista, i would recommend selling ur computer on eBay and using the money to buy a completely new computer that can use vista.

  4. It depends on your system's spec such as Ram, your processor(s), your video ram and such. go to microsoft website and check out the min specs for vista and then compare them to yours. if you cant find out your specs right click on my computer and click properties.

  5. Download the Vista upgrade advisor tool and it will let you know.

  6. As has been suggested download and run the Vista Upgrade Advisor. However if your PC was intended to run Windows 2000 I would have thought it unlikely that Vista would be compatible, as the Vista system requirements are considerably more than those of Windows 2000.
