I have deleted the Adobe programs and reinstalled and then downloaded F.P., but still no success.

  1. Adobe has a page with symptoms and fixes. Hopefully, one of these will help. If it turns out to be your Windows Registry, be sure to back the registry up before performing the fix (or make sure that you have a system restore point set).

    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCont...

This page contains step-by-step on how to uninstall from ALL browsers on your system using Adobe's uninstaller:

  2. take off system and reload sometimes it doesn't download correctly and needs to be reinstalled this will sort the problem but use the adobe  flash player nine just type flash player nine in your searchenginen and it should find it

  3. Download the uninstaller from here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCont...

Read the page and follow the directions. When done, download and re-install flash.

    This usually cures all problems.

  4. There is a known Active X issue between Flash player and browsers. Instead of installing it as a plug-in for the browser, set it up as a stand-alone. It will still come on automatically when you click on something that needs it, but it and the browser won't interefere with each other.

This applies both with I E and Firefox.
