  1. your using Internet explorer 7, i dont think you can get classic view with that.

Although everything you need is shown, under the live search tab. they just use icons instead of words

  2. this is from windows Internet Explorer 7 help page.

How do I display the Internet Explorer menu?

The menus that were displayed in earlier versions of Internet Explorer are turned off in Internet Explorer 7, but you can turn them back on.

    To display the menus temporarily

    Open Internet Explorer.

    Press ALT.

    To display the menus permanently

    Open Internet Explorer.

Click the Tools button and then select Menu Bar.

To turn the menus off, repeat the steps above to clear the check mark.

I think this is out of date because it works differently on my computer.

Use the ALT key to bring out the menu

click on the view option to bring out the drop-down menu.

go down to toolbars and then another menu will pop up to the side.

click on menu bar to set a check and all should be set.

    I hope this helps.

    EDIT:

I forgot to mention last night that there is a lock on the toolbars. You may have to unlock it to make changes. You do that this way:

press alt to bring up menu bar

click on view then scroll down to toolbars. That will bring up a toolbar menu to it's right.

Move the mouse to Lock the Toolbar (if the check mark is there) and click it to turn it off.

Then you can make your changes as described above.
