Yugoslavia Dinar is an legal tender and valid form of unit for trade and exchange.The 1992 Dinars are back in circulation since January 08,2008 and acceptable globally.It is redeemable for cash in any currency for credit, goods and services worldwide indefinetely. The banknotes are denominated from 1 Dinar upto 500 Billion Dinars, all valid for use, with higher the denomination of the banknote,higher the market exchange cash value and more buying power.

The value is 1 Dinar (YUM) = $ 0.0183 USD.

Any Year, 1 Old Dinar(YUM) = 1 Novi Dinar (YUM).

  1. You shouldn't have any problems to exchange old dinars for new ones, or for some other currency in any bank in Serbia. As far as I know, Serbia is the only country from ex Yugoslavia which uses dinars as currency.

    However, I don't know how they will convert your old dinars and if the exchange rate will be 1:1

    It would be best to contact some commercial bank in Serbia and ask them about old currencies.
