I have a 02 maxima and I replaced the transmission with a re-manufactured trans but it won't shift?

This is the second transmission that I put on the car and both won't shift. The fluid is at level passenger drive shaft is new. The RPM just clim but it shift out of first gear. It goes into park, reverse, nutrual, and drive just fine but won't shift out of first into second and so on. What would be the problem?

transmission is likely ok, sounds like either a fuel pump issue or cam sensor problem.  As with all cars with electronic shifting, shift points are determined by rpm and fuel consumption.  A bad sensor won't be able to detect any rpm's, thus, keeping the car in 1st gear.
