The cd Mech that slides the cds up and down get miss-aligned and will made it not load. Check with your dealer to see if they will replace it or you can check on ebay for a cheaper price.

my mom had the same problem and took it back to the dealer and they replaced it for free...they told her it was a defect with some of the cd players...i don't know if there is a recall on it or not
