I have a 1000 watt class D mono block hifonics amp. Its going to two square brutus hifonics subs that are 600 watt rms each. The amp is pushing 1000 watts rms. what gauge wire am i going to need to run from my battery to my trunk? Am i going to need to do "the big 3"? I wanted to do 2awg power and ground wire from the battery to the trunk but im not sure if thats strong enough. Please help.

  1. I would suggest 1 or maybe 2 ga. wire to the trunk

  2. Hi there 2awg will do, but are you going to use

any other amps for mid bass and hi's? Also what kind of car is it for?

If you are going to add a secondary amp I would consider 0 awg also consider a stiiffening

    Cap

Another major point which I see all the time, weak crimp connections, poor ground connections, If these connection are weak, this

equals to drop in voltage and current. Which destroys woofers and amplifiers, with time

If you can try to solder
