I have a 10th year old boy, How do i teach him how to wipe himself after bahtroom?

Show him the tracks on his shorts. Tell him he stinks because he hasn't done a good enough job and his friends will avoid him.  Make him do his own laundry. You can also embarrass him by buying him a box of pantie liners and threaten to tell his friends about them.

After a while, you stop playing nice and get tough. 10 is too old not to cleanse himself properly.

I agree with everyone else that he should be wiping his own bottom...but the truth is that boys can be lazy especially when it comes to good hygiene.  My 9 yr old son "tries" to wipe his own bottom but sometimes does not do that great of a job.  It might be that sometimes boys do things in a rushed manner-they want to get back to their video game or playing with their friends.  We talk with our son about proper bathroom cleaning and taking care of himself.  I also put the disposable kid's wipes in his bathroom...that way he can use those if he thinks he might not have done a good enough job wiping.  Just keep talking with your son about or make him take a bath after using the restroom (enough baths will get the point across).  Hope this helps!

Have him do his own laundry. This is a very common problem with boys. My friends with boys said they always leave "skidmarks". They also think it's hilarious to pass gas and sometimes it gets out of control. Anyway, teach him to do his laundry, and make him rinse his underwear first. If he realizes that somebody has to do that for him, perhaps he'll get a little cleaner.

Also, that means he needs to bathe every single day, too!

Umm I do daycare and the 3 yr olds wipe there own booty themselves. I think you need to have a serious talk with your son.

that is disgusting, my 4 yr old can do that all by herself, you better just hope that no one who knows you and about this issue calls child protective services or whatever they have like that in your state, thats technically like abuse because it is extremely inapropriate for you to be doing to a 10 yr old, you could become a s*x offender fo that type of **** just to let you know...

Take him into the bathroom and show him the toilet paper and how it is used to prevent the brown skid-mark in his shorts... tell him that it makes him stink and it is socially unacceptable and that people will tease him for this.

If he still won't get the message, rub his nose on his brown-striped shorts and force him to pre-treat his own laundry.
