I have a 115 2 stroke Yamaha outboard that has no spark to the plugs any ideas?

  1. The easiest place is to check for voltage at your switch boxes then go from there. If no voltage coming in then go towards your stator. If you have voltage going out then head towards your coils. You will need a voltmeter with a DVA adapter. Also check your trigger voltages. You can have your stator voltages coming in but if you dont have your trigger voltage then you wont get the spark to your coils. If you dont have any spark at all I would check your kill circuit. It could have a short to ground and all your voltage is just going strait through to ground then back to stator or triggers. If you have a kill lanyard make sure it is put on.


  2. assuming your wires and plugs are good. check the coil. from there keep going back to the ground and then eventually the battery. something isnt connected or grounded.
