Well bed wetting at that age can be caused by a number of things and even things like under jams can be uncomftable and feel like a diaper ask him if he would like to wear the you could also put a plastic sheet on his bed so you would only have to wash the sheets and blankets and not worry about the bed getting ruined.

if it makes him more comfortable, fine,  choice is his

make sure you just speak with pediatrician to make sure nothing else could be wrong

my sister wet her bed for ages, some kids are just deep sleepers

as long as he doesn't feel bad about it, it is probably not a big deal, it will pass eventually

At his age it should be his choice. He also should already be cleaning up after himself. Once puberty hits, he should be dry. He's almost there. My oldest boy wet until 13. Then like magic, his voice crackled, and he was dry. Let him decide, and support him either way.
