  1. If you ask your child's SLP, or psychologist they should be able to help you get one.


  2. You might want to contact your local police department to see if they have any ideas of where you can get a wander alarm.

  3. There are two kinds of options. The wander alarm like you mentioned that was really developed for seniors with memory loss issues.

    Or a child locator meant  more for kids who wander off or fear of someone snatching your kid etc. This seems like a better solution if you child usually is able to run out of sight before you are aware.

  4. Contact some of your local nursing homes. Many have protective systems for wandering dementia patients. I also think there is something out there on the market with GPS systems. Talk to your school systems special ed departmen or even your local police dept.

  5. Check the Public Library. The city I am in has a table of resources including resource for wander alarms.

  6. I have a 14  yr old boy who has autism i know it is hard  maybe a kids toys shop they can speical order things like that  I live in portsmouth,ohio there is a Kids Biz store here they are a great help to me if any time you want to talk my email noell44@yahoo.com
