  1. you shouldnt have a bike if u cant start it......................should of thought about it before you got one

  2. alot of bikes take a certain technique... I wouldn't have thought something that small would be tough to kick start though unless you are really lightweight or don't have much strength in your leg.

does the bike seem to run fine once it is started?  the reason I ask is maybe the compression is low making it hard to start no matter how hard you kick it.

anyway, there are several key steps to follow.  insure the gas it turned on and any kill switch or key is turned on.  turn the choke on and slowly press downward on the kick starter until you can feel a pretty good resistance (meaning compression in the cylinder).  once you feel the compression resistance, bring the kick starter back to the top of the stroke. DO NOT twist the throttle.   slightly bend your knee and kinda jump up with your body and as your weight starts coming back downward, start the kicking motion downward so the momentum of your weight along with the kicking force of your leg should spin the engine much quicker.

I have had several much larger 4 stroke bikes (XR500/600/650) that could give you a real problem until the right technique (11 strokes of the kick starter with compression release opened, find top dead center, kick) was found.

    good luck!

  3. there is clearly somthing wrong with the bike, not you,..they kickover easy as pie, even with half a stroke/kick it should start...give it a new spark plug and try again......try kicking over a xt600,now there a different story.

  4. Try this.

Put it in second or third gear. let the clutch out, pull the bike backwards as far as you can till you feel the engine turn as far as it will.

Put it back in neutral then kick it over.

  5. probably your compression is to high,is it new?????

  6. I own a cg125- it is a lean burn engine and doesnt start as well cold as the earlier 1982 model. give it a very long and fast kick while holding the throttle open a couple of millimetres + correct amount of choke. If the plugs Ok you should have no trouble.
